Pam Stachler is a nurse practitioner emphasizing child and adolescent mental health and psychiatric nursing. She is board-certified in child / adolescent psychiatric nursing and adult psychiatric nursing. Pam has worked extensively with kids aged 3 –18 and their families who are seeking mental health care, acute care, and crisis stabilization. Her goal is to help the patient work through difficult issues, including success in school, relationships at home, in the community, and/or work. Treatment involves assessment, diagnosis, and pharmacological management as determined by the patient and legal guardian. Pam has worked in a variety of settings, which has broadened her scope and understanding in working with kids and allows her to incorporate this into her daily practice.
Pam grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and graduated from Kent State University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the IU School of Nursing in 1991 and a post-master's diploma in 2011. Areas of employment include Community Hospital North-North Psychiatric Pavilion child and adolescent unit(s), IU Health Methodist Hospital inpatient children’s unit, IU Health / Zionsville School Corp., and St. Vincent Stress Center child inpatient and partial hospitalization and Day School (Residential Alternative). Pam currently works as a Nurse Practitioner at the Veterans Administration Hospital in the outpatient Mental Health Clinic and with combat veterans returning from overseas. Pam is board-certified in child and adolescent and adult psych nursing.
