Davena Lewis
LMFT
DOWNTOWN
Davena Lewis graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a psychotherapy treatment designed to alleviate the distress patients associate with traumatic memories. Davena has experience in various counseling settings in both the public and private sectors. She works with clients of all ages, including those struggling with addiction, sexual abuse (both as a victim and perpetrator), and those diagnosed with mental health illnesses. She also conducts pre-marital counseling sessions and family and couple’s therapy. Although her passion is working with adolescent males, her vision has remained the same with all her clients: strengthening their inner being, defining what change looks like for them, and developing healthy ways of applying change.
In her spare time, Davena golfs for the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and Golf Buddies. She is also an active member and usher for Eastern Star Church and provides counseling services for them. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.
She works diligently to improve outcomes for youth within the community. Her motto has been and will always be, “Change can be hard work, but the outcome is worth the sweat and tears put into it.”
