Philip Borders, MD
Psychiatrist and Owner
DANVILLE & PLAINFIELD
With over three decades of dedicated practice in psychiatry, Dr. Philip Borders firmly believes that enhancing one’s mental well-being is an integral part of overall health.
“Our patients seek healing and display the courage and hard work to look at themselves and their lives and take positive steps toward change. My goal for patients is symptom relief and personal growth, ultimately leading to them no longer needing our services.”
Dr. Borders works with his patients to identify their difficulties and map out a strategy to overcome the roadblocks to meet their goals. He utilizes medication in patient care, always with the philosophy of prescribing the lowest effective dose, ensuring the best possible outcome for his patients.
A native Hoosier, Dr. Borders earned his undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Notre Dame. He then pursued his medical education at Indiana University Medical School, where he also served as Chief Resident in the Psychiatry Residency Program. Before establishing Hendricks County Psychotherapy (now Hendricks Therapy), Dr. Borders managed an outpatient clinic in Knoxville, Tennessee, and maintained a private practice in Ashland, Kentucky. He is board-certified and serves on the Hendricks Regional Health staff in Danville, Indiana.
